The Jaguar E-Type is Legend and this 1970 Jaguar E-Type Convertible is a resplendent example.
It needs no introduction and the motive power, design and accolades heaped upon it are warranted and well known.
This righthand drive 1970 Jaguar E-type Series II with a build date of 3rd December 1969 still holds its original registration number. Additionally, its original colour scheme of Signal Red with black interior and hood remains.
Available from small private collection, this car was initially purchased through the original dealer, Willets (Eastbourne) by Mr. I. Panto of Hove, Sussex on 27th January 1970.
This was midway through the very limited Series II production (1968-1971). This example comes with a J.D.H.T Heritage Certificate confirming these details.
This is a very original, well maintained and non-modified car. Furthermore, it was subject to a sympathetic restoration over three years. These included body and paintwork, a full retrim, new hood and a complete mechanical overhaul.
It is very unusual to find an E-type with the optional and, expensive at the time, chrome disc wheels. This example is also in stunning condition throughout. The Series II E-Types have many improvements over the Series I cars. These include better lighting, brakes and cooling. Importantly, an improved gear change and smoother engine all add up to a much improved and refined car.
This 1970 Jaguar E-Type Convertible is truly ready for many years of enjoyment.
